This is a 3D miniature replica of the Springer Mountain summit sign at the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia.
Our shop is the only, and original shop to offer this plaque!
The process:
The real plaque was 3D scanned, and then 3D printed. A silicone mold was made of the print and the castings use real bronze powder mixed into the casting resin to allow acid etching for as realistic of a finish as possible.
A note on the finishing - You can see a few examples in the photos - the finish does vary from piece to piece as it is a natural acid wash followed by cleanup and sealing.
The plaque is now available in three sizes. This new larger plaque measures roughly 11" H x 7"W. The medium sized plaque measures at roughly 5.75" H x 3.75" W. The smaller plaque magnet (offered in another listing) is 2.75" H x 1.75" W.
The plaque includes a D ring hanger on the back.
